Community Guidelines

MeoMock community features—including exam intel and community posts—exist to help mariners prepare for MEO Orals in a respectful, educational way. By participating, you agree to these guidelines and our Terms and Conditions.

1. Purpose and Tone

• Share study tips, topic trends, and exam experiences in good faith for learning—not to cheat or harm others.
• Be respectful toward fellow candidates, examiners (in general discussion), and the community.
• Label recollections as your own experience; do not present rumors as official fact.
• Disagree constructively. Personal attacks, bullying, and discriminatory language are not allowed.

2. Exam Intel and Community Posts

Exam intel and community posts are user-generated. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated. MeoMock does not verify every post. Use community content as one input among official manuals, regulations, and your training—not as a substitute for them.

When sharing exam-related information:

• Focus on topics, question styles, and study approaches—not facilitating misconduct
• Do not share content you are not allowed to distribute
• Respect the confidentiality and integrity of live examinations

3. Prohibited Content

You must not post, upload, or link to:

• Leaked examination papers or unauthorized copies of live or upcoming exam papers
• Confidential documents (internal company, college, or authority materials not meant for public sharing)
• Copyrighted manuals or publications (OEM manuals, textbooks, or PDFs) without permission from the rights holder—summaries in your own words are preferred
• Harassment, threats, hate speech, or targeted abuse of any person or group
• Impersonation of MeoMock staff, DG Shipping, MMD, surveyors, examiners, or other users
• Spam, scams, malware, or solicitations unrelated to exam preparation
• Illegal content or content that encourages illegal activity

4. AI and Official Sources

AI-generated answers on MeoMock are for practice only. They are not official DG Shipping, MMD, OEM, or surveyor guidance. Verify important answers with approved manuals and qualified instructors before exams or sea service. See Terms, Section 10.

5. Reporting Violations

If you see content that breaks these guidelines or infringes your rights, report it to:

Include a link or description of the post, the reason for your report, and your contact details. We review reports as promptly as practicable but do not guarantee a specific response time.

6. Consequences

Violations may result in:

• Removal or editing of content
• Temporary feature restrictions
• Account suspension or permanent ban
• Referral to authorities where required by law

We may act with or without prior warning. Decisions are at MeoMock's discretion to protect the community and comply with law. Serious or repeat violations (especially leaked papers or copyright infringement) may lead to immediate termination.

7. Moderation

MeoMock may remove content and restrict accounts under our Terms (Sections 11–12: moderation and takedown). We are not obligated to pre-screen all posts. Lack of moderation on a given item does not mean it is approved.
